I have been searching my mind and heart all evening, and I still am having trouble finding the right words to accompany this particular post. But here goes. All throughout my childhood, Jon was “the boy next-door” and my very first and best friend. We spent every day playing together. Summers spent catching crayfish, riding bikes, and swimming in the pool until dark.  In many ways the Rodgers family was second to my own, and I am so grateful for the special relationship I had with them all, even today. When I received a very excited text from my old friend last year telling me the news of his engagement and asking me to be a part of his special day, I was over the moon. I had not yet met Tess, but I knew she would be amazing.  When I did finally meet her when traveling back to Michigan for their engagement shoot, I instantly fell in love with her. I could not have dreamt up a better match for Jon, or imagined a woman as incredible as Tess.  Not only is she effortlessly beautiful, but she is one of the kindest souls I have ever met.  To say that the celebration of their marriage was an emotional one for all in attendance would be an understatement.  The entire day was filled with laughter, tears, dancing, and hugs.  It meant so much to me to not only partake in each and every one of those things alongside them, but to capture those moments for them to cherish forever. There is so much more that I could tell you about this amazing day, but I will let the photographs tell the rest of the story…

xoxo
